Location: Large open field with some trees. Stay on trails and mowed areas.
Terrain:
Long grass, open fields. Some areas potentially have ticks & poisonous plants (ex: poisonous parsnip) See links below.
Long walks between the camping area, some event areas.
Marsh and wet areas may be encountered on hikes and activities.
3. Duration: 2 nights on a weekend (Friday night to late Sunday morning)
4. Activity Level: Very active during day with a campfire on Saturday night.
Every Camporee is different, some have pouring rain, some have frost at night and/or sweltering days.
Possible Weather: Spring, rain possible, cold nights, hot days. Check the weather close to camp time. Bring a water bottle, water is available to refill at various locations throughout the campground.
Be prepared for everything and adjust packing lists based on the forecasted temperatures. Check your favorite Weather App for a long range forecast when planning for Camporee.
These plants are always present, but depending on where your event is and where you hike, you may need to take extra precaution.
