What to Pack/Weather

What you pack, should always be adjusted for the weather forecast and location

1. Location:  Large open field with some trees. Stay on trails and mowed areas. 

2. Terrain: 

   • Long grass, open fields.  Some areas potentially have ticks & poisonous plants (ex: poisonous parsnip) See links below.

   • Long walks between the camping area, some event areas. 

   • Marsh and wet areas may be encountered on hikes and activities.

3. Duration: 2 nights on a weekend (Friday night to late Sunday morning)

4. Activity Level: Very active during day with a campfire on Saturday night.

• • Every Camporee is different, some have pouring rain, some have frost at night and/or sweltering days. 

  • Possible Weather: Spring, rain possible, cold nights, hot days. Check the weather close to camp time. Bring a water bottle, water is available to refill at various locations throughout the campground.

  • Be prepared for everything and adjust packing lists based on the forecasted temperatures. Check your favorite Weather App for a long range forecast when planning for Camporee.
