Registration is now open!
Speed limit at Apple Hill Scout Reserve (AHSR) is 10km/h. The slower the better!
Before camp, sections will have distributed a Camporee parking pass to all participants. The pass includes the Group name (e.g. "1st Scoutsville") and section name (e.g. "Colony A", "Timberwolves Pack" etc.). Please remember this Group and Section name, which will be requested when checking in.
All parking will take place on AHSR property, in the main parking lot. AHSR's Rangers (in bright orange) will direct vehicles to parking spots.
Before leaving a parked vehicle, a Camporee parking pass must be displayed on the dashboard. This applies to all vehicles, whether temporarily parking for drop off or pickup, or if staying for the duration of camp.
After parking, proceed to the north end of the parking lot on foot to the check-in tent, located just beyond the inner gate. At check-in, you will be asked for your Group and section, and directed to where your section is camping.
Each campsite in the campground will have signs mounted on staves identifying the section(s) assigned to the site. Campsites are up to 300m from the parking lot. Sections may bring carts for shared use to transport personal gear.
Each section decides when participants can arrive. Do not arrive before that time, as your section may not have enough volunteers on site yet to be allowed to supervise youth.
No matter what period your section chooses to arrive, all arrivals are to occur before check-in closes at 8pm.
All people not attending Camporee and vehicles dropping off are to depart AHSR no later than 8:15pm.
Schedule your participants to arrive within a desired time period, after at least 2 Scouters have planned to arrive.
The first member to check-in (4pm-8pm) must be the Scouter bringing the Medical Package. The Medical Package is:
a sealed envelope containing Member Detail Forms for members and Physical Fitness forms for non-members
outside the envelope, (a) a printed copy of your section's approved Adventure Application Form (AAF). Withdrawn members should be struckthrough. (b) a list of members arriving late or departing early, with the exact time expected.
If a member of your section arrives before the Medical Package, they will not be permitted entry to the campground.
Assign a Scouter to track attendance and no-shows.
9pm: One Scouter and all Venturers attend the Safety Briefing at HQ (Pole Barn).
Any updates to the section's list of attendees can be submitted at the briefing (no shows can be struck)
Each section is permitted to have a single vehicle pass through Farley's Gate and into the campground to deliver section gear between 4pm Thursday and 4pm Camporee Friday. Deliveries before 3pm will occur within a section's campground at a designated location. After 3pm, deliveries can be made directly to a section's designated campsite.
Farley's Gate will be shut between 4pm Friday and 11:30am Sunday. Participant Arrival and Check-in opens at 4pm. No delivery vehicles will be permitted entry to the campground after 4pm. All section gear delivery vehicles must exit the campground by 4:15pm.
Arrivals and Departures between 8pm Friday and 10:45am Sunday are considered to be "During the event", and can only occur by special arrangement between your section and the Camporee Event Team.
Participants arriving or being picked up for departure during the event:
Make arrangements with your section to arrive or be picked up at a particular time. Your section is to report this time to the Event Team. This ensures that the Check-in Tent can be staffed at that time.
A parent/guardian who is not a Scouter may not enter the campground past the Check-in tent without an escort. In most cases, your section will need to send 2 Scouters to meet you at the Check-in tent.
Departure begins after the conclusion of Closing Ceremonies, which is expected approximately 10:45pm.
The parking lot will open for pickups at 10:45am. Adults picking up will not be allowed past the Check-In tent and into the campground on foot until after the end of Closing Ceremonies.
Most pickups are expected to be complete by noon, to minimize risk of collision with delivery vehicles.
See you at next year's Camporee!
Before any youth depart, sections are expected to complete a site survey with their youth to remove all litter and traces. Leave No Trace is Scouting's outdoor ethos.
At 11:30am Farley's Gate will open, and each section will be permitted a single vehicle for section gear pickup.
Starting at noon, vehicle access to the campground is unrestricted.
The last Scouter of a section to depart will confirm check-out at the Check-in tent.
Sections are to complete departure by 1pm.
