Review Camporee before May 31!
Camporee's garbage bin only accepts non-hazardous waste that can't be recycled or composted. Take everything else home.
At Scouts Canada's large events like Camporee, aim for zero garbage. This is part of our Leave No Trace outdoor ethos.
Take the time to plan ahead so you aren't producing garbage at camp. Challenge your section to have a zero-garbage camp.
REMEMBER - sections must sweep their campsite together for waste - youth and adults - before any section member departs from camp.
This is washing water and teeth-brushing water.
Filter out solid food. Use a sieve, or cheesecloth with an elastic over a container for your greywater.
Dispose of solids in your compost bin.
Pour out filtered water into one of Apple Hill's grey water cisterns. They are blue barrels located beside most kybos.
Do NOT put grey water in the kybos.
